Some 60% of our activities consist of Japanese-English and English-Japanese translation of various kinds of agreements, mainly finance-related agreements such as ones of business takeovers, securitization, banking and securities, but we have covered other extensive Japanese-English and English-Japanese translation of legal and economic affairs, including litigation-related documents. Our main clients are legal departments of companies and leading international law firms in Japan. Translators of our company are composed of the chief translator conversant both with Japanese laws and American laws, a Tokyo University Law College graduate with two year study at a US law school, and his equivalent partners, all having rich expertise in Japanese-English and English-Japanese translation of legal and economic documents. We are confident that we have top-level ability in such translation in Japan. In addition, our products are available at the following low prices because our company has been managed directly by translators as partners, with no interposition by brokerage company.
Our translating capacity for a day per translator is as follows:
Japanese-to-English translation:
Some 10 to 20 sheets of A4 size (200 English words per sheet)
English-to-Japanese translation:
Some 15 to 30 sheets of A4 size (400 Japanese characters per sheet)
Our rates (including the consumption taxes) are as follows:
Japanese-to-English translation:
11.8 yen per Japanese character (equivalent to 4,720 yen per 200 English words)
English-to-Japanese translation:
17.5 yen per word (equivalent to 2,675 yen per 400 Japanese characters)
Respectively, the volume discount is applied.
As for confidentiality, under the belief that it is the most important ethic in this profession, we erase electronic data or return or shred the original document and all related items provided by a client immediately after we deliver a product to the client, provided that we retain the translation file as back-up and for future modification or addition for 3 months after delivery under strict secrecy. Of course, we never divulge the existence or contents of an original document, its translation or any related items to any third party.
Products are delivered by attachment of a translation file to E-mail or by sending an electronic medium.
